ELDI 2022

Over 350 attendees participated in the eighth edition of the Latin American Real Estate Developers Meeting (ELDI 2022), held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Panama City on June 16 and 17.

The event, organized by 4S Real Estate and Grupo SyG, brought together the most renowned Real Estate experts from Latin America for a full day of networking, valuable talks, and presentations on the best professional practices of the leading developers and specialists in the region. 

The event featured 25 international speakers and various workshops on architecture, urban planning, and the digitalization of Real Estate, divided into three main themes related to innovation: commercial, finance, and proptech. 

Ricardo Fernández, regional manager for the Business Development area, conducted a workshop titled "Architecture and community: building development platforms," viewing urban projects as dynamic, transformable, and customizable platforms that connect communities and enhance the most diverse life projects.  

Martín Gómez Platero, our director and founder, gave a lecture titled "The city and housing as supports for life projects," where he shared his vision on urbanism and the different relationships between housing and communities with nature, the constant development of cities, and the new technologies that are currently driving the real estate market towards new horizons. 

Among the activities of ELDI 2022, the 7th ceremony of the Latin American Real Estate Development Awards (LADI 2022) also took place, which pays tribute to the achievements of the Real Estate developer in various categories. 

Gómez Platero Arquitectura & Urbanismo had two finalist projects and one winner. The finalists were Huertas de los Horneros and Cala del Yacht in the categories "Best horizontal housing project, suburban projects, and urbanizations" and "Best Mixed-Use Project," respectively, both projects were carried out for La Buonora & Asociados

The winning project was Bilú Riviera, which won the first prize in the category "Conversion, revitalization, and enhancement of buildings and urban environments" carried out for Altius Group Uruguay
