Our director and founder, Martín Gómez Platero, participated in a panel titled "A River and Two Shores" about the relationships and strengths of Uruguay and Argentina along with Opi Mazzinghi (Camps Tiscornia Studio) and Roberto Converti (Urban Office Architect and dean of UADE) as moderator.

The talk was broadcast live through the Biennale's digital channels and focused on two projects developed on the opposite fronts of the Río de la Plata. The Distrito Quartier project, designed by Camps Tiscornia and +Colonia, the urban masterplan of more than 500 hectares in Colonia del Sacramento proposing an extension of the city, polycentric, technological, and natural, projected by Gómez Platero Architecture & Urbanism.

Both projects place special emphasis on enabling and preparing new spaces for a more flexible and human future of cities. Referring to +Colonia, Martín stated that "we have to offer a mixture and synergy of uses that guarantees a flow of different people at all hours, so that the city is dynamic and commercially strong, so that it has life for most of the day."
