GP Talks Sessions MX: Hyper-Mixed Hospitality

On October 24, the second edition of GP Talks Sessions unfolded at Salón Puebla, Hotel Camino Real Polanco, Mexico City. This marked the first event of its kind in the country and is part of a series created to share insights, projects, and perspectives on the real estate landscape across Mexico and Latin America. GP Talks Sessions has established itself as an in-person meeting space for exploring market trends and challenges alongside industry experts, offering a comprehensive view of the sector.

The panel was moderated by Carlos Sánchez Pelayo, architect and Head of Business Development for Mexico. This session, centered on hyper-mixed hospitality, brought together experts including Jorge Castañares, Managing Partner at Xpertha Capital and ITAM professor, who discussed strategies for large-scale portfolio management and high-impact asset investments. Adrián Hidalgo, Chief Commercial Officer at 4S Real Estate, also contributed his insights, highlighting innovative commercial strategies and the expansion of real estate projects across the Americas & Europe and moderated by Santiago Perez, Head of International Business Development.

Yahir Sarmiento, Director at Cushman & Wakefield for Latin America, examined sustainability and efficiency in large-scale infrastructure projects, including those developed for major clients like Amazon. Mario Carbone, head of development for Hilton in Mexico and Central America, discussed the challenges and opportunities of hotel development in an evolving market. Finally, Santiago Pérez, architect and Head of Business Development at Gómez Platero, offered his insights on expanding international project portfolios and the value of mixed-use developments. 

By uniting these guest speakers, GP Talks Sessions dives into the real estate sector's opportunities and challenges, encouraging idea exchange and positioning hyper-mixed hospitality as a versatile solution for new urban developments in the region.
