At the northern edge of La Barra, a district in Maldonado celebrated for its dynamic topography and lush greenery, the residential project La Guadalupe emerges. Dedicated to ensuring lasting habitability, this development innovatively reimagines residential living within a resort environment, fostering a seamless integration of architecture and nature.
Bordered on the west by the Maldonado Stream and on the east by the El Chorro area in Manantiales, La Guadalupe's location features elevated topography that affords exceptional coastal views, integrating with a predominantly pine forest native vegetation. The project is crafted to enhance quality of life, providing an affordable living experience that complements its surroundings with contemporary architectural solutions seamlessly integrated into the local landscape.
The architectural design articulates residential clusters around a central leisure hub with a pool and an amenities bar, creating the social heart of the complex. The residential structures comprise units designed with a focus on spatial efficiency and economic accessibility, without sacrificing design quality or functionality.
Three residential buildings house sixty units across a ground floor and three upper levels, topped with accessible rooftops. These blocks present a range of housing options, from compact one-bedroom apartments to spacious three-bedroom units, with areas varying between 50 m² and 110 m².
Each apartment boasts natural light, expansive terraces, private grills, and in larger units, dual bathrooms, maximizing both comfort and privacy. Ground floor units are enhanced with private gardens that extend the living space outdoors, fostering a deeper connection with the natural environment.
The design includes 8 exclusive-use rooftop areas, independent of the residential units. Each rooftop is equipped for entertainment with amenities like dishwashers, mini-fridges, and grills, complemented by a private terrace that offers sweeping views of the ocean horizon and the enveloping forest.
On the western part of the site, the project features a series of 10 two-story townhouses, available in three different sizes ranging from 115 m² to 150 m², each on private lots exceeding 332 m². These homes, designed for those seeking more autonomy and engagement with the environment, are connected to the amenities and communal spaces through a dedicated corridor, facilitating seamless access to the complex’s facilities.
La Guadalupe enhances its value proposition with an amenity block designed to promote comprehensive well-being, work, and recreation for its residents, fostering an outdoor lifestyle that aligns perfectly with the resort living concept. This space is centered around two tiered outdoor pools connected by a cascading water feature that uses the natural incline of the terrain to mimic the flow of natural water bodies.
The amenity bar features a wellness area with a Zen garden, co-working space, barbecue zones, a solarium, and a play area for children. Located in the northern part of the property, adjacent to a covered parking facility and a bicycle storage area, it is designed with perimeter circulation to ensure accessibility to all common areas of the complex.
Through architectural design that capitalizes on the natural topography and environmental context, La Guadalupe emerges as a residential project that balances environmental respect with accessible, high-quality living in one of La Barra’s most coveted real estate areas.
