The Masterplan for the Los Céspedes Sports City outlines the expansion strategy for the Club Nacional de Fútbol's facilities, strategically situated along Route 102 in Montevideo, Uruguay. The design introduces a sizable parking area at the entrance, conveniently located next to the tennis courts area.
This comprehensive proposal reimagines the layout of the football fields, featuring a redesign of pitch 02 complete with a new stand, a relocation of pitch 3, and the creation of a new street along the perimeter. Additionally, the plan incorporates a new pitch specifically designed for Baby Football.
A significant part of the project involves the expansion and refurbishment of the athlete accommodation area, transforming it into a modern hotel tailored for first division players. The sports pavilion is thoughtfully divided into two main zones: a sporting zone and a recreational zone. The sporting zone boasts a 167 m² enclosed pitch, a fully-equipped gym, changing facilities, and a medical wing complete with a wet area, technical room, and equipment storage. The recreational zone offers a comfortable lounge with a games room, a covered patio, and a barbecue area with dining facilities and exclusive sanitary services.
Positioned on the premises' boundary, along Camino Berges and near the supplementary parking access, is a planned building dedicated to the institution. This building will host a club Museum, a Press Room, and facilities designated for the club´s youth division.
The landscape program aims to enhance the site's natural beauty, featuring the channeling of an existing stream and the creation of a picturesque water mirror with a fishing platform. These elements enhance the outdoor spaces adjacent to the sports pavilion deck. Additionally, the plan includes a vast green area equipped with a Driving Range and Putting Green for golf enthusiasts, complemented by a perimeter running circuit, enriching the overall sports and recreational offering of Los Céspedes.
