Puerto Lago stands as a landmark residential building in the lake area of Parque Miramar, a region currently experiencing a boom in new Real Estate developments in Canelones, Uruguay. Spanning a total area of 3,900 m², this project captures the essence of contemporary architecture, where functionality seamlessly meets design.
The architectural proposition of Puerto Lago revolves around a rectangular floor plan and a terraced volume unfolding across five levels. This approach not only maximizes panoramic views of the lake but also creates a series of private outdoor spaces for residents. The structure is designed to house residential units of 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedrooms, each crafted with a focus on fine finishes and quality of life.
The building offers three distinctive facades: towards the lake, terraces stretch out as privileged viewpoints over the aquatic landscape; the north facade welcomes visitors from Avenida de las Américas, and the east-west oriented side facades capture the daylight. These facades are clad in noble materials such as glass, wood-imitation siding, plaster, and exposed concrete details, chosen for their durability and low maintenance, while also giving the building a unique and contemporary identity.
The ground floor transforms into a park extending from the main entrance to the lake's edge, integrating the complex's recreation and leisure areas. This green space acts as a lung, offering residents an oasis of tranquility and connection with nature. The outdoor pool, accompanied by a deck/solarium, is strategically placed to make the most of the lake views, creating an ambiance of relaxation and enjoyment.
Security is a top priority at Puerto Lago, featuring a controlled access system through a manned gatehouse, closed-circuit surveillance cameras, and an intercom with camera and viewer in each unit, ensuring a safe and private environment for all residents.
The interiors of the units are detailed and finished to outline a contemporary style. The terraces, for their part, blend areas of hard wood decking with porcelain tile sections and are complemented by pergola-covered areas, offering versatile spaces for outdoor enjoyment.
