Nestled along the scenic route 10 by the sea, the Selenza Village & Hotel is an architectural ensemble that includes a quartet of four-story residential buildings and a boutique hotel, anchored by a pavilion designed explicitly for showroom purposes.
This pavilion, a temporary yet pivotal element of the development, serves as a central hub, housing both the sales offices and a model apartment.
The topography of the large green space, the passage of the route, and the presence of the ocean complete the initial data. The location on a high sector of the terrain makes it a visual reference for the whole and from the promenade.
Architecturally, it is articulated through two horizontally oriented prisms: the primary structure houses the entrance and the showroom reception area, while a secondary, lower prism runs parallel, containing various service areas. Together, they create a harmonious unity, clad in dual-toned wood and supported by a continuous stone base.
The material palette of wood, stone, and glass is deliberately chosen to evoke a sense of clarity and tranquility, reflecting the inherent beauty of the surrounding landscape and the architectural vernacular of the complex. The design strategically employs modulation and the rhythmic placement of openings to forge a seamless visual and spatial connection between the indoors and the surrounding nature. As one approaches the pavilion, the interaction with the natural terrain is thoughtfully orchestrated through geometrically arranged slopes, ramps, and pathways, enhancing the journey towards the structure.
This thoughtful sequence of spatial and functional experiences unfolds through subtle gestures and gentle movements that mimic the natural topography, seamlessly blending the built environment with its natural setting. The journey culminates at a terrace, an extended outdoor living space of the pavilion, featuring a deck, a planter, and a pond. This vantage point offers unparalleled views of Manantiales, encapsulating the essence of the Selenza Village & Hotel as a place where architecture and nature coalesce in harmony.
