The Varadero del Lago architectural preliminary project, situated in the Canelones Department, occupies a prime location adjacent to Lake Calcagno. This area, in close proximity to Roosevelt Park, is currently undergoing a significant real estate development boom, highlighting the need for thoughtful and well-planned urban growth.
The project is in line with the "Costa Plan", a targeted land use and sustainable development initiative for Ciudad de la Costa.
Varadero del Lago's architectural design offers convenient access to major roads and essential services, playing a significant role in the urban development of the area while enhancing the scenic integration with the lakefront. The project is centered around the creation of residential units that foster inclusivity and generational interaction, catering to a diverse range of age groups.
Architecturally, the complex incorporates materials such as monolayer plaster, concrete, composite aluminum, and a combination of aluminum and wood lattices. The project, due to its size and morphological features, is planned to be executed in phases, adhering to the overall volume and the initially proposed building capacity.
The development is designed with a two-level base: a basement dedicated to parking and a ground floor that includes additional parking and amenities. These amenities are thoughtfully divided into three areas: a central section for residents and two side sections for potential public use. Rising from this base is a landscaped terrace, providing access to four residential towers, each extending 17 stories high and reaching a maximum height of 60 meters. Each tower features an entrance level with a residential lobby and a versatile area.
A key aspect of the design is the physical and visual permeability between the urban setting and the lake. The complex is accessed via a secondary road leading to an entrance plaza, parking facilities, and the landscaped terrace. This terrace offers a pedestrian walkway with lake views and connects the entrances to the various towers.
